The shows

Halfway through the shows.I cannot believe how quick the time has gone. Two more shows to go.

As with all live performances a few hicups, nothing major.

The children seem to enjoy themselves and put their energy into it.

Who can help with the children

The law states that only the parents or legal guardian can look after the children. This means that grandparents, aunties or friends can not look after the children.

Basically a complete strangers can look after your child as long as they have had the relevant checks, but relatives are not allowed.

Is the law an ass

Dance with Grace has a blog

Dance with Grace has a blog.
What an exciting time, the sixth edition of Dance with Grace is nearly upon us. Although there were concerns that the show may not happen as archaeic government legislation intended for young professional performers has been applied to us! We essentially need CHAPERONE LICENCES for the show to go ahead.

What is a chaperone

Children in entertainment must be in the care of either their parent, the children's legal guardian or an approved chaperone at all times.

A chaperone is the key person to whom a child looks to for guidance, protection, clarification and support.

The word 'Matron' is used within the legislation. Nowadays matrons are generally referred to as chaperones. They are one and the same.

A chaperone can look after up to 12 children.
